Noise from vehicles on the road:

Noise from vehicles on roads is not a matter than Council can assist with. For individual known vehicles, refer to SAPOL. For generic traffic noise refer to the Department of Transport, Infrastructure and Planning on 1300 872 677.

Noise from vehicles in driveways or on domestic premises:

The advice is to firstly discuss it with the neighbour to try and reach a resolution. If unsuccessful, engine noise from cars, boats, motorbikes or other vehicles in driveways or sheds is a matter for SAPOL who can be contacted on 131 444.

Noise from vehicles entering and exiting a business or moving around on a premises:

If the site is operating under an EPA license, refer to the EPA on (08) 8204 2004.

If the site is not operating under an EPA license then refer to Council’s compliance officer on 8584 8000.

Mobile food trucks are considered a vehicle and/or a premises and are subject to the previsions under the Local Nuisance and Litter Control Act 2016. Refer to Council’s compliance officer on 8584 8000.
