Environmental Health Advice

The Environmental Health section of Council provides a broad range of public and environmental health services to address aspects of the natural and built environment that may affect the health and wellbeing of the community. Key functions and responsibilities include education, monitoring and regulatory management of the following:

  • Notifiable disease investigation
  • Mosquito and vector surveillance
  • Wastewater system approvals
  • Septic tank desludging program
  • Legionella control
  • Public swimming pool safety
